WHAT IS THE BOARDING & DAYCARE DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY?

A 25% deposit is required to hold the boarding reservation.  The deposit automatically applied to the default credit card on file when the booking is approved. The deposit is refundable if at least 10 days’ notice is provided in advance of the first date of the booking. If the cancellation notice is given with less than 10 days’ notice, then the deposit is forfeited. Bookings made within the 10 day period will, by default, lose their deposit if followed by a cancellation.  The remaining balance of the boarding stay is due at pick up.

Payment for daycare visits are due at the time of booking.  Cancellations will be credited to your account to be either used for another daycare day or applied to a boarding stay.

We take a limited number of guests in order to provide the best experience for your pup.  We are small business and do not overbook so we do ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel so we have the opportunity to fill your cancelled spot.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE AND PAY FOR MY VISIT?

We utilize Propet scheduling software for storing client & pet data, scheduling, invoicing, and payment processing.  We ask that you process all boarding requests and cancellations through the software to ensure that they are not missed. The booking link is on our home page.

This is a small business with no receptionist or other staff, so we do have to schedule all drop offs and pick ups by appointment only.   For drop off and pick up times, please be punctual for the comfort and safety of our guests. Please plan to arrive within 5 minutes of your appointment to avoid overlaps with other appointments and to ensure that we are prepared for your arrival.

All drop offs and pick ups are by appointment only and are limited to the following hours.  We do not make appointments outside of these hours so please plan your booking with that in mind.

  • Sun - Thu  7:30am-9:30am     4:30pm-6:30pm

  • No Saturday PM or Sunday AM appointments

A credit card is required to be on file in order to process the 25% retainer required for boarding stays.  The remaining balance is due upon checkout. If paying online please process payment prior to pickup. Checks and cash are welcome at pick up but if paying my cash please provide exact change only. We do not keep cash on the property.

Payment for daycare is due on the day of service. If paying online, please process that payment prior to picking up your pet.

WHAT IS A MEET AND GREET? IS IT REQUIRED PRIOR TO SCHEDULING SERVICES?

Meet and greets are scheduled appointments at the boarding location to allow you to view the property and see how your pup would spend his time while boarding with us. It also gives the sitter time to evaluate your dog for socialization and manners. We will do a brief tour of the property, discuss your pet's care and allow your dog to meet the sitter's dogs one at a time. Meet and greets are required prior to boarding so please allow enough time prior to your travel dates to schedule in the meet and greet. If the meet and greet goes well, a paid assessment daycare day ($20) will be required prior to the first boarding stay.  The assessment daycare day provides more time to observe your pet's comfort level without parents so we can ensure that they have a safe and happy boarding experience.

WHAT VACCINATIONS ARE REQUIRED?

Proof of standard vaccinations are required (Rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella) and should be provided at the meet and greet or previously uploaded to the boarding software.  If for medical reasons, your vet has recommended to not provide vaccine boosters for your pet we can discuss the use of titre test in lieu of proof of updated vaccinations. Up to date vaccinations are required before a boarding or daycare reservation can be placed.

HOW CAN I CHECK ON MY PET DURING THEIR STAY?

We provide daily photo updates texted to the cell number provided on the account.   We will send at least one update a day but may send multiple photo updates if we are having a particularly fun day.  Please feel free to check in via text anytime throughout the day and we will let you know how your pet is doing.  If you are traveling outside the country, we can set up a photo gallery in your client account or utilize WhatsApp to help avoid any messaging fees. We do generally cut messaging off after 7pm and respond to any missed messages after 7am the next day.

HOW WILL MY PET SPEND THEIR DAY? WHERE WILL THEY SLEEP?

We have an early start to the day with a morning potty break around 6:30am, followed by breakfast and a little quiet time for digestion.  Depending on the weather, we will have either indoor or outdoor playtime until approximately 11, when everyone is settled in for nap time until 1pm. Afternoon play generally lasts until the evening meal around 5, followed by quiet time to let the meal settle.  Evening play lasts until about 8 when everyone starts settling in for the evening.  We do a final potty break at 10pm with a lights out time shortly afterward.

Pets are welcome on the furniture and bed and have free range as long as the pet sitter is home.  When the pet sitter leaves, everyone is separated for safety either in separate rooms or crates, depending on the needs of the pet.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Your pet's leash, food and any medications are all you are required to bring.  If your pet is nervous away from home and you feel that they would do better with a toy, blanket or bed from home, we just ask that all belongings be clearly marked with the pet’s name so we can be certain that they are returned to you at the end of the stay. We will make every effort to make sure all belongings are returned to you clean and in good condition. Please be aware that toys and beds will be exposed to other dogs and may be damaged, destroyed or lost so please do not bring any valuable or sentimental items. We have plenty of bowls on hand that are sterilized daily so, unless your dog feeds from a slow feeder, there is no need to bring their own bowls.

Please bring only the food amount needed for the duration of the stay in a sealed, labeled container.  If any special food prep is needed, please provide written instructions and package the food as compactly as possible since storage space is limited.

We do have some food available in-house if you prefer to not bring your own (but we encourage you to bring your own to avoid any tummy upset). Our in-house food is Purina One For Sensitive Systems which is salmon based and is $2 per meal.

If your dog is on any medications, please make sure all medications are labeled clearly and written instructions for dosages are included.

ARE PET TAXI SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR BOARDING AND DAYCARE?

Limited pet taxi service is available for boarding clients for a $20 fee each way.  Weekday pet taxis to return your pet home at the end of their stay are made 11-12 AM. Transport from your home to the boarding home is available weekdays 12-2 PM.  Exact times will vary depending on the day's dog walk & home visit schedule and availability. There is no weekend pet taxi service.
