BOARDING & DAYCARE PRECAUTIONS

Drop off & Pick up Procedures

All on site pick ups and drop offs for daycare and boarding are managed outdoors. Please text on arrival, bring your dog inside the front gate, close the gate, remove any leashes and release your dog to meet me at the front door. Once your pet is safely indoors, exit the gate. At pick up, enter the gate with your leash. Once you are in the fenced area with the gate closed, I'll release your pet to meet you.  Please leash them and exit the gate. Wait by the gate at both pick up and drop off to maintain social distance. I'm disinfecting the gate latch before and after each drop off and pick up. All belongings are disingected on arrival and departure. Please bring only necessary items such as food and medications; no beds, blankets, toys or bowls.

HOME VISIT PRECAUTIONS

Dog Walks & Drop In Visit Procedures

For home visits where no one is home, I'm using hand sanitizer between each stop, new gloves at each stop and wiping down each surface that I touch with disinfecting wipes. We will need to discuss additional precautions to take if someone will be home.

EMERGENCY PLAN

Have an Emergency Plan for Your Pet

Please have a preparedness plan for your pet's care in place and know we are here to help if you need us.

  • Identify a family member or friend who can care for you pets if someone in your home becomes to ill to care for pets. Coordinate a plan of action with them and make sure that they have access to the pets if no one will be home.

  • Create a to-go list and be able to quickly collect needed items. Have crates, food, harness, leashes and extra supplies on hand for movement and relocation of pets if necessary.

  • Have a one week supply of food on hand at all times.

  • Keep all vaccines up to date and have copies of those records available in the event that boarding becomes necessary.

  • Make sure your caregiver has your veterinarian's contact information.

  • Ensure that all medications are documented with dosages and directions.

  • Be sure to keep your pet's microchip registration up to date with current contact information. All dogs and cats should wear collars that include current phone numbers.
